This privacy policy applies to gintli.com and support.gintli.com. The respective app privacy policies also apply to ContractoAI, LumiAR, and GIS 3D Pro. A German version of this policy is available.
1. Controller
The controller and developer is Gellert Gintli, a private individual, Holzhof 12, 38667 Bad Harzburg, Germany. “Gintli Studios” is only the project name used for the websites and apps; it is not a company or separate legal entity.
Email: support@gintli.com
2. Hosting and server logs
Both websites are hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When a page is requested, STRATO processes technically necessary connection data, particularly the IP address, request time, requested resource, browser and system information, and potentially the referrer URL. This processing provides the websites securely, reliably, and efficiently.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the websites. STRATO acts as a processor under an Article 28 GDPR agreement. STRATO retains server logs under the applicable hosting configuration only for as long as needed for operation, security, and error analysis. Logs associated with a security incident may be retained until the incident has been fully investigated. See the STRATO privacy information.
STRATO also provides aggregated access statistics in its customer dashboard, derived from server requests. This dashboard does not show me individual visitors’ names or IP addresses. I use the figures only for a general overview of usage and technical availability; the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Technically necessary storage
The websites currently do not use non-essential cookies, web analytics, or other technologies requiring prior consent. New visitors are therefore not shown a consent banner. If a consent-requiring technology is introduced later, it will be activated only after the required consent and this policy will be updated first.
Display preference
The websites may store a display preference, such as the selected color mode, in your browser’s local storage. This is used only to provide the display you selected. The legal bases are Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Search
When you use the website search, the search term is transmitted to the STRATO-hosted web server and processed to display results. It may be recorded with the usual server-log information. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for the search function you requested and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for security and error analysis.
5. Contact by email
The websites currently do not provide a contact form. If you contact us by email, we process your email address, message, and technically necessary metadata through STRATO’s email service to answer your request. Please do not send complete contracts, confidential model files, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is responding to your request. Messages are generally deleted no later than three months after the request is finally resolved unless legal or contractual retention duties require longer storage.
6. Backups
Backups of the WordPress installations are stored at STRATO and in Google Drive so the websites can be restored after data loss or a security incident. Backups may contain website content, configuration data, and server data. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the availability and security of the websites.
Google Drive is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Processing in third countries cannot be excluded. Google uses the applicable adequacy mechanisms and standard contractual clauses. See the Google Privacy Policy. Backups are deleted or overwritten according to the configured rotation schedule.
7. External links and profiles
The websites contain ordinary links to the Apple App Store and to profiles on X, YouTube, and TikTok. These links do not establish a connection to those platforms merely when our pages load. If you select a link, you leave our website and the destination platform processes data under its own privacy policy. The websites currently do not use embedded social-media plugins, tracking pixels, or embedded videos.
Processing within our social-media profiles is governed by the privacy information of the respective platform. Where we receive messages or public interactions there, we process the included information for communication based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
8. No website analytics, advertising, or AI processing
The websites currently do not use web analytics or advertising-tracking services, Microsoft Advertising, an AI chatbot, or automated AI analysis of contact content. If this changes, this privacy policy and the consent controls will be updated before activation.
9. WordPress and local plugins
The websites use self-hosted WordPress software and locally installed plugins, including Complianz, Yoast SEO, and UpdraftPlus. Merely using this locally executed software does not transfer visitor data to its developers. UpdraftPlus is used to create the backups described in section 6.
10. Security
Traffic between your browser and the websites is encrypted using TLS. Appropriate technical and organizational measures are also used to protect data against loss, unauthorized access, and alteration.
11. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your rights, contact support@gintli.com.
You may also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, particularly the authority for your residence or the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony.
12. Changes
This privacy policy will be updated when the actual data processing or legal requirements change. The current version and revision date will be published at this URL.
